Mittra oversees the Tribune's newsroom, which includes more than 30 journalists who have won multiple state, regional and national awards. He joined the Tribune in 2012 after more than a decade at The Dallas Morning News, where he worked as a copy editor, assistant political editor and as a night city editor supervising the coverage of late-breaking news. Mittra was also on the Morning News’ editing team for the 2009 and 2011 Texas legislative sessions.
